I have now received a letter on 22nd May from ZZPS dated 17th may 2019

    My questions are:
Shall I initiate ping pong via email?
    When should I do so?
What should I respond back with?
Or shall I do nothing unless I receive a letter from the courts?

This reaches 6 months on 10th August 2019

    Details of letter:

Our client: Indigo parking solutions uk limited
    penalty notice due: £100
    administration fee: £70

Debt collection notice - £170 - unpaid debt

We have been instructed to recover the above balance which remains outstanding. As a company specialising in debt recovery we are instructed to seek payment in full.

PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS LETTER. A BREACH OF RAILWAY BYLAWS IS CRIMINAL OFFENSE AND CAN BE PERSUED BY MEANS OF A PRIVATE CRIMINAL PROSECUTION IN THE MAGISTRATES COURT IF THE DEBT IS NOT CLEARED.

To avoid this potential course of action please call 01932 918916 immediately to discuss payment. Do not ignore this letter; our client believes they have sufficient evidence to pursue this matter though the courts if necessary and we shall continue with our collection if the matter is left unresolved.

This letter includes phone, email customerservices@zzps.co.uk & address to communicate.

Did you not read post number 11, it answers all the above questions.

Following the instructions of a Railway servant is not a breach of Railway Bye laws, and their administration fee of £70 is unlawful, they are lying to you, complain to Trading Standards and you MP.

Nine times out of ten these tickets. Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

Did they really include those spelling errors or have you perhaps mistyped?

Personally I would continue to ignore it. ZZPS won't even read any mail.

Let us know what you intended to do though.

Avoid paying the b******s and if I end up having to then drag it out and make them work for it. Ideally i'd like to stall this process until 6 months has passed to avoid the court case. However I'd rather go to court and risk paying more money then chicken out and pay now because I was unfarely misadvised into parking and being penalised.

It won't go to court. None of them have and Indigo can't prosecute in any case. I thought you would know that from keeping track of every Indigo case coming up here. Not only do regulars keep pace with every Indigo case, we keep pace with every case, around 80 to 100 cases a day.

    Did you miss particular one?

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Ignore them as already advised, this is all normal dross letters in the chain.

Virtually every single thread that contains advice about the initial stages, and process, of private parking tickets, contains the advice on what to do with debt collectors letters.
    IGNORE THEM!!
  • 6 months has now past and I have NOT be taken to court.

Just ignored the last few automated letters from various names (Indigo, AS Parking, ZZPS, & QDR solicitors) claiming to be independent of each other yet same letter structure, same font, same wording, same !!!!!!!!.

Despite not following the correct approach on this forum from day one. I have still avoided paying the rotten scamming ba****ds.
