Energy Supplier - What's the Best Option?

So i'm one of the people that Martin Lewis has a go at on his programmes on TV for not switching energy suppliers. My last house I was always with Eon (Few times I did comparisons they were one of the top of the cheapest) but since moving house in November 2018 I've been on British Gas Temporary Dec 2019 tariff. Over £200 for dual fuel a month. For a 5 bedroom detached property.
I've done a comparison on Cheap Energy Club based on monthly spend and the below are some of the options. Are Smart meters nothing to worry about and also are smaller suppliers going to be long term pains?
12 Months - Ovo - £421 yearly saving
12 Months - British Gas - £320 yearly saving (Got to have smart meter installed)
18 months - Green Network Energy - £381 yearly saving.
24 Months - Bristol Energy - £210 yearly saving.
Thank you for any advice.

Don't do your comparison based on monthly spend ! Use your actual consumption. You've been in your house for 4 months so you will know your winter consumption for heating - is it gas ? I t will plummet as summer comes on. Electric will drop a little.
Work out your consumption and go back to a comparison site.
I've said before that a meter is a meter - its purpose is to record consumption.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Prices pa and direct debit and savings are estimates only .
Actual cost is usage x unit price + standing charge,0
