Still waiting!!

Hi.
Right, I'll start at the beginning..... (sorry... this will be a long one!)
Went to well known furniture shop middle of September, 2018. ordered item, sorted finance there and then.. was told it wasnt likely to be delivered before Christmas. But they said they would contact me if anything changed.
Christmas came and went and was contacted on 13.1.19 by text, asking me to call to confirm delivery... their next available slot was 12.2.19..
On 11.2.19 we threw our old one out, (we would manage for 1 night without it) another text was received and delivery was confirmed by text " between midday and 6pm" the following day.

At 10:50 the morning of expected delivery (12.2.19) received a phone call, stating it was in the wrong depo! 156 miles away! And nearly 190 miles away from me!! Told they would get it on the next van., and they would contact me later in the day to update me... they never called...

3 days later I rang them.... spent 48 min in a que. Finally got through... they had no answers.. it was still in the wrong depo... Now after 4 weeks, a phonecall by me to them every few days, spent hours on hold, in a que, passed about... I still dont have it.......
Called them again this morning, and was told I could rebook delivery... yay I thought... at last!! But o no.... next delivery is the 19 of April.. it better arrive then!!!

A few other points....
I had a baby by emergency cesarean before Christmas, been sat on stools, cushions, the floor since with a newborn, and in serious pain...
Hubby took day of work to help on the first supposed delivery..!. Tried their facebook page- sent a message took 5 day for first reply to arrive. Was told they wouldnt talk with me as I wasnt the account holder.... ( I gave all the same details as I had on EVERY phonecall) its took 18 days for this chat on messenger and still had only 3 responses...
To top it all off the item is now nearly a £1000 cheaper...
What are my rights?
Im fuming!!!
Thanks for any info you can send my way... ( and sorry for the long post)

I hope you are now fully recovered from your surgery, but a couple of chairs could have been picked up from Freecycle to use while you waiting.

Just cancel the furniture, along with the finance arrangements and buy the furniture elsewhere.

What is the name of this furniture company?

Thanks, but finding other chairs to replace was not the issue...

If I cancel I will still be in the same boat... and will start the waiting process again! Been looking for ages to find the right one, and this was it..
    Thanks

Get a temp sofa off FB / freecycle.

Cancel the order and go else where.

If you really have to have the sofa you have ordered, I suggest you start writing to the CEO of the company and make a load of noise about non delivery etc, social media is a good place as well.

In that case, I don't understand why you are asking for consumer advice?

I suspect what the OP isn't saying is 'how much compensation can I get' :D

So finding chairs wasn't an issue - why mention it?

What exactly do you want to hear?

Thanks for your replies, im not out for compensation, and would appreciate advice that can help get my sofa delivered quicker... and what are my rights,
if you can't help or have constructive advise in anyway please refrain from commenting.
If you think that waiting over 30weeks from original order date is acceptable, then good look to you if you ever need to buy a new sofa!

Thanks kazwookie... will contact COE to start..
