Bankruptcy notice on house, mortgage

A work colleague is applying for a mortgage.
Valuation completed and DIP issued but now finds out Bankruptcy notice sits on the non-mortgaged house, rented out.
The person living in a city 30 miles has the same name so the land registry put a notice on it. Received a letter from the Land registry Bankruptcy last year and sent it off for address where living. Didn't think about the other houses on rent.
the credit files are clear, nothing to suggest why it has been put on.
Looks like Land registry Bankruptcy unit has balled up. What happens to the mortgage which is not yet complete, valuation is done and DIP already issued?
what to do to correct it? how long will it take?

I can't fully understand the question. Is this a house that a work colleague is trying to buy or one that they are trying to sell in order to buy another house?0

Or one that they're trying to remortgage?I can't fully understand the question. Is this a house that a work colleague is trying to buy or one that they are trying to sell in order to buy another house?
In any event, what advice has their solicitor given? Confusion between people with identical/similar names happens all the time with this sort of thing, it can be sorted out.0
