Perhaps let sleeping dogs lie, seven years after your original complaint was rejected?0 -
Many of the people who have already been refunded never made an original complaint. The refunds to 1 million people are something vanquis agreed to do themselves after the FCA investigation. It was supposed to be an automatic refund.
The only reason I mentioned the original 2012 complaint on this thread is because at that time there was no mention of fraud. I didn’t pursue this complaint as they said this product was not covered by the PPI legislation (something along those lines it was 7 years ago so can I can’t be exact)
Now all of a sudden I’m chasing up a refund that is supposed to be automatic they are saying there is fraud on the account.
It’s become more than the refund now. I wasn’t expecting a refund, until I’d seen it on the news, the account is long closed, my complaint was left as it was 7 years ago, but now after I chase something up that is supposed to be automatic, they are accusing me of fraud.0 -

Thank you. I’m really upset about this whole fraud thing and just want to know where it’s come from now. As I said plenty of people didn’t complain and got their refunds automatically. Yet because I complained in 2012 as I knew the whole reypayment option plan wasn’t right... people on here are saying I could be penalised and time barred. I’ll keep this updated.0

Reading up on the plan refund, the site says 2 things:
Anyone sold POST 2014 gets refund of the interest only
Anyone sold 2003- whenever they informed people gets a refund of the interest (only) not the plan
I'd suggest you contact them again and ask about the refund of the interestSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

There is a small possibility that when you made your complaint in 2012, that some of the information you provided did not tally up with your initial application - thus suggesting you either fraudulently obtained the credit card or that your complaint was fraudulent... is this one possibility which I have seen some lenders jump on.
It could just be an error, or as suggested if It is considered 1st party fraud they may be unwilling/unable to tell you anything.0
