Parking Charge Notice

Hello,

I've received a parking charge notice on 11th March, notice is dated 5th March for an overstay in Tesco Silverburn car park on 23rd Feb. I've read the newbies post but still not quite sure on the best course of action.

It's a company car registered to my work, infringement in Scotland. What's the best way to dispute this?

Thanks very much!

Although it happened in Scotland, do you know where the car is registered .... your company address probably ?

Best to tell your company of this and that you will handle this yourself because the parking scammer will get DVLA info

Normally we say to complain to the CEO of the supermarket to get it cancelled but the CEO of Tesco, Dave Lewis. plays hardball with his customers .... could say he holds customers in contempt ?

You could try Dave Lewis to get it cancelled showing receipts but be aware he is on the side of Parking scammers

His problem, there is not one person in the UK who cannot shop elsewhere ....... Tesco are scared stiff of that

How come YOU received the PCN, you can't have done, unless you are the registered keeper? Or if your company/Fleet/lease firm have named you as the hirer/lessee?

So you need to submit the usual words written by Edna Basher in the lease/company car section of the NEWBIES thread (no, not the Fleet Manager one...).

You need to pull Highview in your direction to stop them writing to the lease firm again.

It was addressed to my work, stating 'having checked with the DVLA, you are either the registered keeper, or the registered keeper has named you as the driver'. The company haven't engaged with them.

OK so do you have a letter or email passing that to you and authorising you personally to answer it?

The thing is, it's not addressed to you, so the PPC might say you are a third party.

Are the company OK that you appeal IN THEIR NAME? That's best, using the Edna Basher company car version for companies.

Yes - have an e-mail, informal but just saying will leave in your capable hands. I could write on behalf of the company, do you think that's my best option?

On balance, do it in YOUR name with your postal address, to stop any possibility of any more letters going to the work address.

Upload a screenshot of that email as proof that you are authorised to respond, and use the 'hirer/lessee' version of appeal in the links near the bottom of the NEWBIES thread - the one that is NOT written as Fleet Manager, but as an individual.

There are only 4 links there in the company/lease car section of the sticky, AFAIK, so it is easy to find.

Put your name and your POSTAL ADDRESS in and add a sentence telling Highview that you are the hirer/lessee of that car and that they MUST erase the data of the Company they wrote to, who have transferred liability to you.
