Being messed about by StepChange, looking for TRUSTWORTHY alternatives

You don't make the application directly. You can't even enter information to the application these days. There was the facility to do that in the early days but it was a bit of a disaster and that got removed.

So Stepchange will enter the information and provided you meet the basic criteria:

•Must not be a homeowner,

• Debts less than £20,000,

• Can have a car worth up to £1000,

• No other assets of more than £1000,

• Must have £50 or less left at month end, after all essential payments have been made (not inc debt repayments),

• Cannot have had a DRO in last 6 years.

I apologize to everyone in this thread for letting my frustration get the better of me. I allowed my feelings to escalate and lead me to act petulantly and it was directed at the wrong people.

Whilst I don't agree with StepChange's procedure of handling basic communication with potential clients, I shouldn't have allowed that to colour my own communication with other people.

You're more or less allowed to, you're not having a great time at the moment and it can spill out in ways that can't be foreseen. Direct your energies to positive action
