Should this account gone default?

Options
Hi
So I signed up for a 30 day trial of checkmyfile.Com and down loaded my PDF credit file.

It shows a few accounts from my reckless days of payday loans etc that have missed payment for years on end so I’m wondering if these accounts should have gone into default at the beginning or after 3 missed payment rather than just being marked as missed payment for years on end

I’m assuming if I could get them changed to default, the account would fall off my credit file from the first default date?

Ive tried to attach photos of the payment history to make it easier to understand but it doesn’t let me post a link to the photo, how can I upload a photo?

Regards
Dan

If the account defaulted, and not just a few missed payments, then it should be marked as such within 6 months.

Don't use checkmyfile to check your credit files. Go direct to the three CRAs, using the free routes.

It is marked as a 6 consecutively for 3 years

Ask them to backdate a default.

It’s a payday UK account and I don’t think they operate anymore. Can I get It changed if I contact Experian and equifax etc directly?

Contacting the CRA would invoke them to try and make contact with the lender to confirm the changes

Unscrupulous payday lenders commonly leave credit files like this, they were in the game to make money from you, once they’ve done that, they either flee the country or go bust, either way you are stuffed, as they are the only ones able to change the entry.
