    You need to find out of it has asbestos or not first, that will affect your plan of action. We tested negative, so the builder wet the artex and scraped it off and re-skimmed the ceilings. If it does have asbestos it's much more complicated.
  • Just get it skimmed over like most other people do and forget about it.
