Windows - Outlook.com account question

I'm not sure how to phrase this question, and searching isn't giving me the answer (to the question, not how to phrase it!) Anyway.
I have an Outlook.com e-mail account which I use to log into my Windows 10 Home PC. I'm going to get a new PC soon, and will be putting a brand new copy of Windows 10 Pro on it. The question is, can I use my existing Outlook.com e-mail address on this new PC, or do I need to register a new Outlook e-mail address/account?
I hope the question makes sense.

Yes, you will still be able to log into the new PC using your existing outlook.com account.

The whole idea of a Microsoft account is that you can sign into it on any device and it will transfer your settings (amongst other things).

Personally having used Windows from the days when you only had local accounts (on the computer), I can't see the point myself but each to their own.
