Signed up to Credit Club, all fine and dandy, just one thing I found odd. I have a couple of long-standing betting accounts that operate on a credit basis and one of them shows on my report as a charge card. The other doesn't appear at all.
Any idea whether this is normal, something to worry about or just an anomaly that can be safely ignored?

You've been lucky there.
Charge card is a nice harmless description. Be wary of it changing to something more accurate and less palatable to lenders in the future though.0 -

Actually, if it is an account which has to be repaid in full each month then charge card is probably an accurate description.0 -
Thanks for the replies. What would I prefer; it not to show at all as per the other similar account! I take the point re "charge card" seeming more innocuous than something referencing gambling.
These accounts relate to sports spread betting, which normally operate on a credit basis as opposed to deposit for fixed odds. Both were opened many years ago in the days when you received a fortnightly statement containing a cheque for your winnings or a bill for your losses, which were paid by cheque. Now it's all done online. You choose whether to withdraw if in credit and are expected to settle the outstanding balance weekly.
As it seemed an unusual way for this to be presented I just thought it worth checking.0
