Sofa company in administration

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask....
I purchased a sofa late last year from Wesley Barrell. I paid a deposit and was told I needed to pay the rest when the delivery date was confirmed. Expected delivery was end of Feb.
I didn’t get my delivery date or sofa and I’ve been chasing and found they went into administration. They have been bought out by Wesley Barrell interiors. I’m told all orders are being honoured.
Today I’ve been given a delivery date and the request for the final payment - as outlined at purchase.
However. I’m a bit wary about paying more money, for something I don’t have yet, to a company that’s clearly in some difficulties - could they take my money and keep the sofa... I feel vulnerable doing this. I don’t have a credit card so I can’t stick it on that either.
Any thoughts or suggestions? What rights do I have here? Could I argue the circumstances are changed and will pay on delivery? I still want the sofa (it’s the only one I saw that I liked).

Get someone you know to pay with their credit card and you give them the money. Or apply for a credit card.0

I don't think you get s.75 protection doing it that way.worried_jim wrote: »Get someone you know to pay with their credit card and you give them the money.0 -

Assuming you qualify, if you apply online you will get the card in a week.0
