Parking fine from the BP station LGW South Terminal

Hello,

I have received a parking fine from eurocarparks, regarding parking at the BP station at Gatwick South Terminal. I'm a little confused as to why I have received it, as when I went into the shop to get a drink, I asked the attendant if I could park there, and was told yes. I also did not see any sign up saying otherwise. Could you let me know if, as far as you know, this fine is real or a hoax please? Seems a bit wrong for an attendant to say yes, if the answer is no...!

Many thanks
Chris5850

No, you haven't. You have an invoice.

top of this forum, third thread down

    start with post #1

yes the PPC can issue a pcn to you if they think that the driver (or you) have failed to comply with the onsite signage about parking onsite, chances are the driver stayed too long, so although there was authorisation to park by the attendant, it may not have been for long, perhaps 10 minutes ?

the signs on the site told the driver how long they could stay

the NTK that you received in the post should tell you what the contravention was

ps:- its not a "fine" , its an INVOICE for failing to comply with onsite signage
