Faulty car refund
Hi Guys,
Just wondered if anyone had any advice for me.
I bought a faulty car and after 3 weeks of having it the trader (who is a one man company) told me to return it for a refund. I had just moved so the garage was 450 miles away. So I took the car back but he weren't there, I waited hours but in the end weren't happy to just leave it so returned home.
After a week he gave me 200 pounds to cover my transport so I would bring the car back. I returned it 8 days ago. He told me he would need to wait for some cars to be collected before he could refund me. I was told by email that he had the car and i would fet a full refund by Friday and if there was delays it would be Monday at the latest. He didn't update me over the weekend and today his phone has been switched off. I have tried on other phones and it's off so he is just not in. He has a lot of time of it seems.
Anyway I have confirmed in writing that I would have the money today but obviously I won't now. I've been extremely fair and patient. This money is important as I've hit hard times and I'm on the verge of being homeless. I'm hoping he's going to be in tomorrow but of he's not I'm assuming the small claims court will be the only way forward?
