Consumer Rights Act 2015 - Confused

We bought a car last week(6/3) and paid on credit card. Car was great until I was putting in the car mats in the front passenger foot well, on Saturday. It was soaking wet. I tested all the other foot wells and all dry. Checked the boot and there were small pools of water near the door and the foam insert where the spare wheel should have been(they provided emergency can) was soaking wet). I spoke to the customer services manager who wanted to come and collect the vehicle and repair it. There were a couple of other minor mechanical faults which are easily fixed but water ingress is notoriously difficult to diagnose and can cause major electrical faults in the future. A closer inspection of the boot revealed sealant around the edges. He won't refund under the Act. I am loathe to allow him to take it away. It is a used car 2011 with 89k on the clock. Am I right in thinking I can reject his offer of repair and inspection or do I have to allow him to attempt to remedy it? I know I can invoke section 75 but would the credit card company expect me to have tried a repair first. I have traveled less than 50 miles since taking delivery. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.
