Have you based your forum username from your real name?

If so, you would be wise to get your forum username changed to something very much more anonymous.

To help with that, you might like to read this short extract from The MSE Forum Guide - Frequently Asked Questions & Rules:
    Q. How can I change my username?

    A.
In most circumstances, this is not permitted.

The only reason we will change your username is if it puts your privacy at risk. This usually means you've inadvertently registered using your name, email address or something that gives away your identity within your username.

If you fall into this category, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com and request that it is changed, giving three alternative usernames in order of preference.

Funnily enough someone has another charge relating to a separate offence.... stayed too long in a shop car park by 20 mins with no pay and display required...… but have ignored as was a company car. Powerless to determine who was driving.
That's potentially a dangerous stance in the context of a company car. If the NtK goes to the hire/lease company, they may well pay the charge (so many of them do), then charge the account of the hirer and land a hefty admin fee on top.

By which time, a bit too late, the hirer is then fighting the hire company. The PPC is quite happy, cos they've been fed!

That was (and continues to be) stupid/risky.

Sorry but you have these two cases the completely wrong way round. You appealed the one you should have ignored (assuming the Smart one relates to a non-company/leased car) and you MUST NEVER ignore any PCN of any type, when you have a company car.

Umkomaas explained why...oh dear, I hope we are in time to stop this calamity.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hmmm... certainly alternative advice. The managing director of said company was happy to ignore and he/she is the keeper of the car. I believe these cars are hire purchase. Could they still go to the selling company?

Depends who the registered keeper of the car is. If it's the actual MD, or his company named on the V5C (logbook), then ignoring is the best strategy in Scotland.

If the RK is a lease/hire company, then my (and Coupon-mad's) advice above continues to apply.
