Problems with car bought on finance
Wondered if anyone could give me advice on what to do next. I bought a car from a dealer on finance and took out an extended 3 year warranty which the dealer recommended me to have.
The car had a problem with the window the day we drove it home and it wouldn't go back up. It's been back twice to the dealer and supposedly fixed but it is not.
However the bigger issue we have is that the car started randomly breaking down after we had it for ten months. It has broken down 5 times since August 2018. It has been to four different garages in that time and had £1500 spent on it through the warranty.
The problem is the last specialist garage said there is no faults on it, and yet it has broken down again since then but then randomly started again.
Nobody will take responsibility for the car and the finance company are saying we still have to pay for it, which is not feasible at £189 per month when I am paying insurance to drive a different car as I can't rely on it.
The car is 4 years old and I do an average of 3000 miles a year. Where do I go from here? I can't pay for a car that I won't drive, I need it for work and can't do my job if it lets me down all the time. Any advice welcome please.

What is the nature of the breakdowns? Low mileage so only doing short journeys or being stood for long periods can cause issues. If it is a diesel I'd expect it to be suffering from a blocked DPF filter on a regular basis. If its stood for long periods then flat batteries are going to be a problem as are seized brakes and possibly clutch. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. 3,000 miles - is that a typo and you meant 30,000 per year? If it really is 3,000 per year then it would likely be cheaper to get taxis or hire a car when you need one than buy a car.0
