Why Messenger notification when I send?

Is anyone else have a Messenger issue?. When I send a message, recently I've been getting a notification of my message leaving, as well as notifications when one comes in.

Is this on a phone or browser? Which phone or which browser? What is the exact nature of the message? Is it saying that you have sent a message or is it saying you have received one, even though you haven't, if you see what I mean?Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. I have a samsung A5 phone, Samsung A6 Tablet and Chromebook.
I sent a FB message from chromebook and this appeared on Chromebook notifications.
