Siemens IQ700 compact oven with microwave

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with the IQ700 range of Siemens appliances, specifically the compact oven/microwave model CM633GBS1B/05 ?
The other evening we were using the oven function when we heard what I can only describe as a 'clonk' and we lost all power to the unit, no display, nothing.
My first thought was to check the fuse on the consumer panel but nothing had tripped so I isolated the oven at the wall socket and left it overnight thinking it may have overheated.
Next morning there was still no power to it.
I rang Siemens the next day and they said they couldn't do anything over the phone and an engineer would have to come out...callout charge £109
I've booked an appointment for next week but looking through Siemens online trouble shooting guide, there is mention that an oven may have switched off to prevent overheating and all I need to do is "...turn the operating mode selector switch back to position 0..." trouble is, no where does it tell me where the operating mode selector switch is located and I can't seem to find anything online generally.
Does anyone know where an operating mode switch might be located 'cos if this engineer rocks up next week, flips a switch, leaves and charges me £109 I'm gonna be mighty annoyed lol.
Many thanks for your time.
