Sky annual increases

I just joined Sky 2 weeks ago on a £45 special offer. When signing up I asked the sales rep if there were any price increases in the pipeline; she said she was not aware of anything.
Now, only 2 weeks after installation and even before my first bill, I have received an email saying that my subs will increase by £5. So effectively I will be paying £50/month. Thats a 11% increase! What cheek?
This is sheer misrepresentation bordering on fraud. Why don't the authorities do something about this cheeky business practice.

Isn't there a 14 day cooling off period? are you still in it?
If you are, you maybe able to do a deal.
DOes it say you can leave within 30 days of notification?0 -

Look at your terms and conditions... There is supposed to be no price increase in the first 60 days. It's there price promise rule.
Like someone else said, less than 14 days for (could be 31 days as some are with Sky) cancel and they'll do you a deal, but first point out about the 60 days! Look in the message centre on your Sky account for your terms and conditions.0 -
