Credit history missing information

Hi all i have had an issue recently with credit card application refusal . My history on Credit Club does not show up that i had a loan from lloyds bank for a car 4.5k at ford as it was in a different surname anyway of linking these two on my credit file so it shows i am not a bad payer as it was payed in full in a year on a 3 year agreement???. Thanks for any help

  • I don't think the loan will help with the credit card application.

Have you checked for anything else that might be "off" with your files?

    Unrecognised accounts, arrears, defaults etc?

Makes sure you check all three of your files, not just Experian.

After going through card application with my bank and doing as they suggested and looking on credit file and credit club file - because my name was different it is not showing the loan which would of help to show i pay my debts . Silly thing is it was with my bank before i owned an account there , car finance at ford arranged it all.Only thing showing at present is water bill no phone no rent nothing else. So i am up creek no paddle gna have to start fresh credit file i suppose.

Perhaps the change in name has resulted in a lack of credit history totally. Though other factors may be a consideration.
  • When was the name change?

You would need to ask the CRA's to link everything up again

This all seems a bit mad.

Why are you not asking the CRAs to associate your names?
