Selling shared ownership property with estate agents or online estate agents?

Hi there, Anyone with this experience or able to help?

My flat is a 75% shared ownership with Housing Association, Its on the market at the moment with HA selling agent, its been on market for over 6 weeks and few more weeks to go before I can put it on open market.

I'm thinking of using an online estate agent instead of local estate agents which will save me over £3000 plus on final selling fees, but after spoken to the local estate agents (they sold me this flat back in 2000 and thought I'll ask them to help me to sell) it made me think twice. He was telling me "Don't use an online agent cos your property is a HA - they're nightmare work with online agents. Online agents not the best with HA, they don't talk to each other and HA are rubbish to work with, so its best with local estate agent instead cos we make more an effect with them...etc.
I know the local agent will tell me all these bad points about online agents cos they want the business from me (also they must hate all the online estate agent cos they must have taken so much business from them now).

Has anyone sold a property (shared ownership with housing association) by using online estate agents (eg purplebrick) instead of local agent? any problem or it's OK to do it?

I've all photos taken of my flat and details ready from HA selling agent, price of the property can't be change as HA already lock to a set price. So the ONLY JOB for the estate agent to do will be showing people around (which I'm happy to do it myself) and paper work once the property are under offer.

Any help will be great, thanks

Don't use an online agent before you have read all the threads on here started by people who did and then use a local agent instead.
