Hello everyone

Well there is that much information on here its almost impossible to read it all and take it all in

I was wondering if there are any solicitors out there that specialise in defending these PCNs ?

I feel i have a reasonable defence after reading what i can on here

I am at the N180 submission stage

If anyone out there could take up my case then please reply or PM me

many thanks

  • Welcome to the Forum, lots of good help available here.

How many PCN,s are you talking about?

    What amount are they claiming?

    Which parking scammer is it?
  • the problems are

very few solisitors are clued up on private parking , hell most just py up themselves

and secondly there are limited costs in the county court , the max a solicitor could claim from parking co would be about £50 if he won

even a local handy man would expect more than £50 for clearing leaves for a dew hrs , so unless you want to top up solisitors fees , you may win , but be out of pocket

Definitely NOT!! worth instructing a Solicitor with that amount of your money 'at risk' and as already pointed out its highly unlikely you would be ordered to pay that amount by a Judge IF it went Court.

The parking scammers add on 'Fake' charges which are not allowed in small claims Court, they know this, we know this, the Courts know this BUT they still try it on because they are despicable scumbags preying on people who they hope will cave in and pay, are you a person that caves in OR are you a fighter?

Plenty of information on here about your particular scammer and how to fight them, have a thorough read of this Forum and help yourself make an informed decision on what you should do next.
  • es parking are frightened of travelling , and must be home and in bed by 7pm , so id you are a distance from preston , they wont even bother showing up

DO NOT EVEN THINK about using a solicitor as you can't reclaim the fees (unless you have legal insurance on your home insurance etc., but as this is already at court stage and you have entered a defence I don't think they would get involved as you've taken the bull by the horns yourself).

AND EVEN BIGGER WARNING - never, never think it will be easier to find an 'appeals' company to do any PPC appeal or defence for you...OMG no! Look at Trustpilot to understand why not. There are plenty of reasons why they (both types of firms, both with the wrong agenda) need avoiding but Trustpilot is easily enough for you to get it - not just the reviews either.

Or search the forum; such firms have been discussed before. Zero recommendations.

Also never reply to a pm offering to help you with this off forum - guess who that poster could be? Either the parking firm or someone from a parking 'appeals' firm as they keep re-registering here and regularly disrupt this great forum. Golden rule: don't reply unless it's a pm from one of us regulars with thousands of posts to our name.

If you are at N180 stage you have already submitted a defence, so show us that defence please and we will help you with the Witness Statement and evidence stage.

You know how to fill in the N180, from the NEWBIES thread - easy stage.

BTW can you go to your first post, hit 'advanced edit' and change the thread title as you do not now want/need solicitors' advice (you are here and we have 99% win rate with well-prepped posters in court, there is no better place due to the wealth of experience).

Can you change your thread title to the name of the parking firm, also 'Gladstones' and the word 'claim', or similar, so you can use this thread again at WS and evidence stage and when you come back in a minute to show us that defence so we know what you can work with later?

You are more likely to get help along the way without that current thread title.
