Without any details of the vehicle any answer will be a complete guess.
My 1979 Fiesta had a similar problem, but I doubt ypur problem will be due to a fuse being dislodged during clutch cable replacement job.0 -

Dislodged fuse? That's unusual it was normally a faulty earth, normally cured by either wd40 or a bit of wet and dry.
I suspect neither will cure much on modern vehicles nowadays though.0 -
