Can anyone explain to me how to 'Share' on facebook.

I have a Facebook page which I keep just to be in touch with family and friends. Im not one of those who live on it or have 2000 'friends'.
Normally when I post something I share it with my friends but recently something has happened and I want to circulate a couple of photos and a post regarding the event.
I need it sharing as far and wide as possible but my friends are telling me they cant share it and have asked me to change my settings to allow them to do so.
Ive gone into 'settings' then 'privacy' and where it says 'Who can see your posts' it is set to public but still no-one can share it.
Anyone know what Im doing wrong please?

Go to Photos, you should see the ... bit in the bottom right of the album you want to share, click that and edit and then there is a top left button to amend the privacy.
PS. Otherwise, no idea if its not in your privacy settings bit.0 -
Thank you, Ive done that and its sharing the pics and post with all my friends but they are all saying they are unable to share it or pass it on to their friends.0

your privacy setting will be set to something like only visible to friends, not friends of friends0

Thank you, Ive changed that now to friends of friends. I was changing the setting under Privacy which I had set to 'Public' but Ive found the 'Friends of Friends' under Timeline and Tagging so hopefully that has worked.

You may want to change your settings back from public as that means anyone can seeTreat other's how you like to be treated.

As of today 180919. my granddaughter is now my official granddaughter, adoption finally granted0
