SOLO TRAVEL ADVICE:
Hi all,
Macchu Pichu has been on the bucket list for many years and 2019 is the year to make it happen.
However, I'm a solo traveller and most of the good operators really punish single travellers. has anyone got any info on an operator who caters for single travellers?
Thanks in advance :j

go DIY. Book flights (no penalising for not being part of a couple) then have a look for accommodation0

Do you want to do the Inca Trail or just visit?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

When you say operator do you mean to book a package holiday from the U.K. including flights and accommodation or do you mean a guide for the Inca trail?
You can easily book flights and accommodation yourself (I’d recommend using google flights and trivago)
You do need to book the Inca trail in advance, and I think a guide is a requirement. Trip advisor or Thorn Tree are probably better placed to give recommendations of good local guide companies, the big tour companies often subcontract to the local companies anyway, but just charge a hefty fee for doing so. Check for reviews/recommendations before booking as there could be an element of getting what you pay for, but you also don’t want to be ripped off.Save £12k in 2019 #360 -

No inca trail but def machu!! by operator I meant travel company / agent. The good ones I've discovered penalise solo travellers, otherwise I'd be fine.0 -
You can easily DIY, I did.
For internal flights Avios are great and save a lot of money https://www.headforpoints.com/avios-promos/Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

As a single/solo traveller I frequently use both of these tour operators and can recommend them!0 -
Gadventures.co.uk is a great solo traveller company. And was named best Inca trail tour operator by the Cusco tourism board in Peru. I did it with them a couple of years ago, and they do a few trips where you see a bit more of Peru.0
