Balance transfer question

I currently have two credit cards, a Sainsburys one with 26 months left of interest free and a Tesco one which the interest free has ended.

I would like to transfer my Tesco balance to the Sainsburys one, i know that the balance transfer will not be interest free, but the APR are the same on both cards, so I would like my debt in one place.

My question is this, will i pay the balance off first that is generating interest? or will I have to pay off the interest free balance first?

Thanks

have you asked Sainsburys if they have any BT offers?

if not then the T&Cs will state the order applied but 'generally' payments are credit against the transactions incurring most interest.

note the fact that payments are always credited against statemented transactions first.

so if you have a 0% balance and you make a transaction that would not be at 0% do not pay that transaction off till it hits the statement
