Aqua Credit Card

Hi I was just wondering do Aqua ever offer ongoing balance transfer deals, I know Lloyds, MBNA etc from time to time give you offers on Balance transfer etc?

I basically applied for 0% (6 months) Aqua Card, however they didn't get that to me, I accepted the card with no promotion and just used it and paying off in full each month.

They are increasing my limit at the end of the month, I still have some debt on another credit card not on 0%, ideally I would have all debts onto 0% cards?

Yes, they offer 0% Balance Transfer and Money Transfer promotions from time to time, to existing customers.

They regularly send me offers in the post for 0% on balance transfers or 0% on money transfers but its only ever 6 months which is a bit short for anything i would use it for.

Okay thanks, I agree 6 months is not great but better than nothing, after 6 months MBNA or Lloyds may offer a 0% for 18 months etc.

Someone said before the best way to get the deals is to use the credit card and pay off the balance in full each month, the companies aren't keen on this as make no money, would you agree with this? Or would it be best just to spend £50 or something and pay £5 a month etc?

The can also offer a 9 months promotional BT and MT. I have one of these at the moment. :)

And yes, the best way to manage a card is to pay off the statement balance in full, every month. I currently have a £6,400 credit limit on my aqua card because of this...

    Be careful with this.

If the balance (including the transferred amount) isn't paid off in full, then interest is chargeable.

Thus you'd want only modest spending if there is also a balance transfer present, pay the new spending in full, and it might be worth minimising interest by moving your payment date to just after the statement rather than the defined due date.

Impressive, mine is around £3000. How long have you had the card?

£6400 is a bit crazy for an Aqua Card. If you don’t pay in full the interest would be horrible £6k at 34.9% plus! :(:(:(

My standard interest rate is 22.5% APR, although the outstanding balance is currently on a 0% APR BT for 9 months. The non-promotional interest rate is lower than a normal Aqua Classic card as I have an Aqua Advance card. :) I never pay any interest...
