Highview Parking fine. Tesco Culverhouse

A Charge Notice dated 4/3/19 was delivered today from Highview Parking for an overstay at Culverhouse Cross Tesco on the 22/02/19. There are ANPR images of the car entering (12:26) and leaving (15:59) the car park, but no evidence of the time the car was parked for.

They have not included a close up of parking regulations or stated the maximum parking time allowed, and have no evidence of the actual driver.

If a car occupant was elderly, with no blue badge, but were in Tesco for the entire time- lunch & shopping, then this does not seem an overly long time for a weekly shop. Would the claim template in the Newbies Sticky be successful in an appeal process.

Thanks in advance for any guidance

    1. Complain to Tesco and explain that you, your family and friends cannot continue to shop there if there is a £100/£60 surcharge added to your shopping bill. Don't bother with Tesco staff, try the manager, if that fails send an e-mail to the CEO dave.lewis@uk.tesco.com.
    2. Send the blue text template as is.

Highview almost always cancel on seeing the blue template. It's usually a question of how quickly rather than will they.
  • Thanks both, with the blue template, which drop down option should I use? Extenuating Circumstances or Other?

You should choose OTHER and make sure that any other drop down boxes do not revert to their default position of DRIVER. Take a screen shot before you press submit!
  • Brillaint, thanks. Appeal submitted, screenshots taken, email send to Dave Lewis. Wait and see now
