Probably best to ask the dealer.
If they can, I doubt the will be keen to do it as they could be, in effect, altering the emissions rating of the vehicle.0 -
You probbably can through the obd port. Try a mitizi forum0

Is there any way to permanently disable this feature ? I can only turn it off each time I turn ignition on. Will main dealer be able to do it at its first service. This is not a debate about pros/cons of the feature
I guess you could leave something on, that will demand that the engine is running.
I am not familiar with your car, I know in mine if the engine is not up to temperature, certain consumer items are in use then the SS will not activate.0 -

Good luck trying to get this to stay completely on topic!
I have it on my CX5 and am fine with it, don't understand the problem myself. with mine if I don't press hard on the brake, stop start doesn't engage. Mine will also not engage if the demister is on.0 -
turning on the demister will turn off S/S, but then the air con is turned on, and assume you would have to turn on demister each time (might just as well then turn the s/s off manually (with switch).0

Is there a fuse that controls the S/S that you could remove to prevent it working?0
-
Your only chance will be someone who knows the correct coding through the OBD port.
There's no chance it will be an easy fix like popping a fuse.0 -
I simply switch the stop/start off on start up. Will fail an MOT without it.Mortgage free

???? Why so?0 -
How will an MOT tester know you disabled the stop start rather than it just not being in a condition to be enabled?
As mentioned maybe the AC is on or electrical loads are high or several engine starts and not driving may have disabled it.
Daughters stop start rarely engages. It was a gimmick on her car to lower the emissions. Charge up a brand new battery and power everything off and bump start it then it will work. Switch on the radio and the voltage drops by 0.0000001 volt and its disabled again.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
