AOS nightmare from bw legal defence pack password

Basically I am out of my depth with this...
I got told this was an invoice and not a fine and to ignore by friends from day one.
I have now got a letter from BW Legal, previously britannia from 22nd December 2016 for not displaying a pay and display ticket in a pub/hotel
At the time this pub was my local, I had no change, so the barmaid at the time said she would put my registration down on her computer as I was staying in the rooms above. She mustn't of done this.
Balance due is somehow £235.30
I have now got this letter saying
A County Court judgement may be entered against you
As you are aware, we represent Brittania. We have issued legal proceedings against you in the form of a County Court Claim. You have failed to respond with any proposals for payment or why the debt is disputed.
If you do not contact us or respond to the County Court Claim, we will enter a CCJ against you after the 10th of March.
If a CCJ is granted they may enforce The CCJ through warrant of control, attachment of hearing and order to attend court.
I have no idea what to do can someone please help. Do these have the power to take it to court and enforce it?
Thanks
After days of having nightmares, I have finally found out how to join the gateway site etc. I am not computer literate in the slightest and find this giving me extreme stress.
I am on MCOL sife and on the walkthrough off the newbies page on how to do so. I can't for the love of God find the claim number or defence pack password.
It says its top right and bottom right on a summons page and also near where it says important notice.
I have looked all last night and this morning and just can't find it anywhere.
Can anyone help me? A direct link or a photo would help immensely.
Thanks

Claim Number in the top r/h box.
Password is shown in the last bullet point in the box headed 'Important Note' towards the bottom r/h side of the form - shown as XXXXXXX
Are you telling us your claim form hasn't got those shown? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Why have you started another thread? Always best to keep to one thread otherwise things can get confusing. Send a PM to a board guide, Crabman, Savvy or Soolin and ask for your threads to be merged.
Are you SURE you have actually received a claim form from Northampton County Court Business Centre?0 -
Thanks for quick response that's amazing
I haven't had any country court form like that one, no.
I had a letter of BW Legal saying if I don't respond by 10th March I will get taken to court or CCJ.
So I started a thread with that first bit, and I got told I needed to do AOS, which has taken me days to do
Is this not the right thing then if I haven't got that letter?
Sorry about the new thread.0 -
What you seem to have are scary debt collector letters.
1. Send that PM to a board guide.
2. Read up about debt collectors in the NEWBIE thread post # 4.0 -
They wont have said court OR a CCJ. CCJ means county court judgement, and obviously comes AFTER being take to court.0

Hello
very useful information. I used this forum and won the CCJ + order to Gladstone to reimburse application fees by the Judge in Clerkenwell and Shoreditch County Court. Now, the judge asked me to file my defense within 14 days.
1.Do I still need to acknowledge the service of a claim or not (never received it as they used the wrong address, I only got a copy as part of the claimant bundle prior to the telephone hearing?
2.The CCJ was issued at Southampton court, so Should I post/mail the Defence to Southampton or to the court where the hearing took place (Clerkenwell & Shoreditch)?
Any help would be much appreciated. I will also happily share more information about my case if that can help others (won set aside hearing on 03/06/2020, car hire, sent to wrong address)

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully, when life gets back to normal, it will become impossible for those scammers who are left to continue their vile trade, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
