Hi,
I'm the registered keeper of a vehicle that received a £90 fine from Euro Car Parks for over staying the alllowed period at the Roaring Meg Car park Stevenage, I appealed through ECP which was rejected. I have since raised an appeal with POPLA and now ECP have uploaded their evidence of which i have 5 days to provide my comments.
Please can someone assist me with this?

Hi,
I'm the registered keeper of a vehicle that received a £90 INVOICE from Euro Car Parks for over staying the allowed period at the Roaring Meg Car park Stevenage, I appealed through ECP which was rejected. THERE, I HAVE FIXED THAT FOR YOU
READ THEIR EVIDENCE PACK and find everything that supports your case, anything they have not rebutted, anything they agreed with in your appeal, plus issues like landowner contract authority (or not, is it signed , dated and current ?) , signage issues or blatantly obvious errors like lighting , time of day etc) , POFA issues if any , NTK issues if any
anything that supports your appeal and rubbishes themselves from their own pack
then read a few popla rebuttals posted on here in the last 2 years, to get inspiration
then post the bullet points comments in notepad or notepad+ and ensure it is less than 2000 characters (not words)
so no waffle or punctuation marks etc
post the draft below for critique0 -
Complain to your MP
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of alleged contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors. Is has been suggested by an MP that some of these companies may have connections to organised crime.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, (especially Smart}, and others have already been named and shamed in the House of Commons as have Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each week), hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned. They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
The problem become so widespread that MPs agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Hopefully, this will become law by Easter . .You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Hi KKLN
This happened to me too. I appealed to POPLA but they have rejected it.
What happened with your appeal?0 -
This retail park has a cinema, a gym, several restaurants, Debenhams, DFS, Argos. Boots, and much much more. How can they think that 3 hours is sufficient time to visit.
I also note that they say no return within two hours, surely an unfair term in a consumer contract. Do they really want people to shop on line? You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

Hope you are both happily ignoring ECP like the advice on every similar thread clearly tells you to do. ECP are a PPC who do not sue people - no-one would pay them.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
