Wrote to Santander 3 years ago and had a reply with all my documentation returned stating that they would look into refunding my PPI claim I rang them again today to be told that this is now being upheld by the FSA and they are awaiting guidance whether to pay out the clsim or not... anyone else having similar issues ? The response you have received relates solely to the Plevin ruling - as Santander were not the sellers of the policy they are currently in discussions with FCA to come to an agreement as to how these should be treated.

In terms of PPI mis-sale you would’ve likely received a response on that issue already from Santander acting on behalf of the insurer Financial Insurance Company Limited who accepted liability on these as was likely sold pre-regulation.

Hi! its been a long time since ive been on the forum and really dont know where to or how to post.
Im trying to reclaim missold PPI - clear case got paperwork etc. However FCA's site refers me to an online ppi claim form through Santander who they indicate are now dealing with First National Tricity Finance Ltd.
Is this the right thing to do? they arent a claims organisation or anything?
After I send it off, do same rules apply ie if I dont get a response with 8 weeks contact FCA?
I didnt use Martin's resolver tool as it didnt have the exact name of the loan company in it ie just First National Bank. What do you think?
Hoping someone can help me here, or tell me whereabouts on the forum i should have put this message!!!

No, Santander aren't a claims company or anything.

Santander are NOT a claims organisation they are a major high street bank (formally known as Abbey National).

You make your complaint and allow up to 8 weeks for a response if after that time has elapsed you have not received a response you can take your conolaint to FOS not FCA.
