Hi
I came across this by accident really... I was trying to understand something about the power lines and transformer in the garden and started reading this:
http://www.thepowerlinegroup.co.uk
I've never heard anything about it! Does anyone know anything about such claims? Has anyone had any experience? We've only just recently moved in... Our conveyancer didn't say anything about wayleaves. But then again he didn't say anything about anything really! I'm not quite sure what we paid him for! I did speak to Western Power before we bought the house and they said wayleaves don't apply because the power lines etc only feed our house.
Anyhow, I know nothing about so if anyone out there does please share!
Many thanks

If yours is the only property that the transformer supplies then this is defined as a service and no wayleave rental is payable,. There might well be no wayleave for your conveyancer to find.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Thanks Robin9. Yes, the transformer only serves our property, so perhaps there'd be no case...0
