Greasy Palm WARNING

While booking car hire from Bergamo Airport via auto-europe their website stated it would cost £129.06. I thought I could get cashback with Greasy Palm - and I could at 5%.

However, when I clicked on the auto-europe link on Greasy Palm and entered my details for the car hire, the price had inflated to £142.

This means that with cashback, it would cost £6 more via Greasy Palm than booking direct with auto-europe.

Has this happened to anyone before, or with different websites/companies via Greasy Palm where the price has been inflated so you pay more???

As my username suggests I represent GreasyPalm.

Although I read MSE I dont always have time to reply to posts but this item raised an issue I was unaware of.

Retailers should not inflate prices to cover their costs of working with us and this is the first time such an issue has arisen.

I have now contacted the representatives of Auto-Europe asking for an explanation and in the meantime I have removed them from GreasyPalm until such time as they can provide assurances that our members are receiving a better deal than their 'public offers'.
