Hi,

My car was parked in a private car park in Dundee and a parking charge notice was put on the windscreen.

Just wondering if the advice I've read to ignore this still stands currently, or if things have changed? I only seem to be able to find advice from a few years ago.

The information in the NEWBIES is up to date if that's where you have been looking.

The advice to ignore in Scotland and NI is still valid unless real court papers are received. Only the driver can be held liable in these two parts of the UK, so it is imperative that the driver's identity is never revealed. The best way to do this is to ignore.

The advice in England and Wales is NOT to ignore.
