My mum and I have been sorting through my Grandads paperwork and have found some share certificates from Hill Samuel Unit Trust Managers.
One is for Hill Samuel British Trust and one is for Hill Samuel International Trust.
I have tried searching the internet but can't seem to find anything about these, can anyone help???

From a quick Google it seems that Hill Samuel was owned by Lloyds and merged with Scottish Widows perhaps 20 years ago. Might be worthwhile talking to SW.0

After several changes of name, they are now Aberdeen Standard.

They have always sent letters regarding change of company and I have always kept track and I know my current account number.Who did you contact regarding them?
There was a new change last year with some sort of merger between Aberdeen and Standard Life. It does involve a change of account number each time. So I don't know how difficult it might be if you only have the original certificate. But it is certainly Aberdeen Standard now. The units are in some Aberdeen UK fund (assuming of course they haven't been sold in the past).0
