Just a thought - is it actually broke or does someone keep leaving it on override, thus permanently open because they have lost their fob?

I live in a large block of 200 flats with a fobbed pedestrian and car gate. The car gate is frequently broken and has to be left open, leaving the whole development unsecured.
I’m not amused paying £180 a month service charge, and am noting the days it’s not working. Any idea if I’d have any luck pursuing a rebate at the end of the year?

Surely it's only the car park that is 'unsecured' as presumably the doors to the actual building has some sort of lock?

Where I live there was talk of adding a gate to the block car park and I was totally against the idea as it would have meant a lot of fuss getting in and out for seemingly no benefit.
