Bank Account switch but leave joint account

I have a individual current and joint current account with the same bank. I want to do a bank switch for just my sole current account to HSBC for the bonus.
The T&C's state the old account needs to close to get the switch bonus along with the other factors. I'm concerned even though I'm switching a specified account they may consider the joint account as still having a current account with the old bank.

I want to ask if anyone has had the same situation and experienced any issues?
The tipping point is only reached by more people jumping up and down!

    Firstly, the current account switch service will switch and close the specified account only -and not other accounts with the same bank.

    Secondly it won't switch a joint account into a sole account.

    I had joint and single Santander accounts.

    I switched the single account over to Halifax.

    The single account disappeared and joint account remained.

    Easy peasy. :)
