Need advise on home insurance as confused

My question:
Does a insurance policy from 2007 with a car that was ended by the insurance company after a problem affect my home insurance. Do i need to declare this as it was for a car not a house.
On go compare it asks if you have had a policy ended by an insurer befor.
Do they cross over.
Im first time buyer and dont want to mess it up.

You need to answer truthfully, as it is a general question you have had a insurance cancelled the answer is yes, if they were being specific and only about a home insurance policy the answer would be no.0

Get the gocompare quotes without mentioning it and then ring up the insurer you want to go with and ask them; better still email and get a reply in writing so there's no comeback.
I'd have thought after 6 or more years it wouldn't matter but I expect it would if you made a claim and they found out.0
