Are you 100% certain yours is economy 10 not Economy 7? When I attempted to switch to Scottish Power some years ago the central meter database had mine down as an E10 meter, which stopped SPower from transferring my electricity supply. After much tooing and froing with my then supplier BG it turned out the database was incorrect and my meter is actually E7.

However, that was not the end of the problem, as in my case a single rate tariff is better than an e7 tariff as our night use is minimal, and there are only certain suppliers, particularly if you have to submit online meter reads, whose software can hadle the dual readings of an E7 electricity meter when you're on a single rate tariff. There is somewhere on this forum a thread listing the suppliers that can.
