Nationwide online banking changes?

I have been a Nationwide customer for many years.
Lately it is not my main account but still used. For example I used it for sure in December 2018 when I paid for an ISA investment from my Nationwide account. And I accessed the online account then to check the balance.
I have tried today to access the Nationwide online banking, but seems I cannot.
The top field is now called
"Customer number
This is your unique 10-digit number."
In my records (and I even checked some backups,of years ago, so I am sure it is not an error on my latest file) I have an OLB (on line banking) number, which I used to put in the top field.
It has 10 charactes, but not all of them are numbers (there is one letter).
The Nationwide login gives me an error:
"Enter numbers only"
Has Nationwide changed the main access key in the last 3 months?
Was this communicated via letter (and when)? I cannot remember anything and have no notes about it at all (and am stuck).

It's been a 10 digit number for the 20 years that I've been using them. No idea what the reference you have is, I don't have anything from Nationwide that has a letter/number format.0

I have opened my Nationwide account in 1997 (and online access at the same time) and cannot recollect any changes to the access codes.
The code I have on my records starts with: 36A... (so there is a letter right there).
It might be the result of a file corruption (or an erroneous paste), but the exact same code is also on a backup file dated feb 2018.
So this is a real mistery to me, specially because I am certain I logged on with no problems in December 2018.0 -
I opened accounts with N'wide last June and have a 10 digit customer number, all numeric. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0

You can use the lookup tool at https://www.nationwide.co.uk/support/login-registration/forgotten-customer-number to find your customer number0

Like others on here, I've been using Nationwide online banking for 20 years or more, and it's always been a ten digit customer number. Numbers only, no letters, so the code you have is certainly an exception to the rule.0 -
Like others, 10 digits all numbers
OP I don't suppose you could be misreading numbers for letters?
I = 1, O = 0, S = 5, B = 80 -
Would it not be best to just call Nationwide and say you are having a problem?0

thank you everyone for your answers and suggestions.
I have called Nationwide and retrieved my number.
Not sure when my error happened, but I had filed a wrong number so I now updated my records.
And yes! It is a 10 digit number!!0 -
