Building management changed locks

Last week the building management with no notice (to me or the landlord) changed the lock to the front door of the building my apartment is in. I rent from a landlord via an agent.
Earlier that week the building management company had gone door to door and pushed a key in an envelope under everyone’s door (the key is not copyable). I never found a key in my apartment.
It is now 6 days later and they still haven’t managed to give me a key. I cannot access my property without someone inside the building letting me in (and i don’t know any of my neighbours). I generally randomly buzz different apartments and try to convince them to let me in.
The building management company dispute that i never received a key and are now dragging their feet whilst i cannot guarantee getting back into my apartment any time i leave.
What should i do? Can i claim compensation? How do i get them to hurry up and give me a GD key?

What reply did you receive from your landlord when you wrote to him at the address provided for that purpose?0

You have no relationship with the management co, and they have no obligations towards you - which might be why they're not getting back to you.
You need to raise this with your landlord - and your landlord can then raise it with the management co.0 -
Raised it with the landlord immediately after management company said they would not deal with me. The agent is now not really doing much other than conveying messages and the opinion of the management company that they put the key under my door.
(They have provided pictures but without a video it’s obviously not conclusive and i feel the burden is on them to ensure i received the key. I’m assuming either they are lying about putting it under my door or someone stole my key because they want 2.)
My first thoughts are that I’m owed rent for the days until i receive a key. Could push for damages i.e. alternate accommodation/additional travel etc. If i knew what a likely compensation would be i could use that as a stick to get them to act faster. I’m obviously more concerned with actually getting a key than money right now.0 -
How was putting a front door key in an envelope under someone's door going to let them in to the building so that they could find the key under their door?
Sounds like a process that could lead to a houseful of people being locked out of their building while some box-ticking moron (other sub-optimal brain arrangements are available) gets to tick a box and say "job done".There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

OP did say that the keys had been posted earlier in the week before the locks were changed.
However, I certainly think that there should have been written notice.

The agent is not your landlord (well, they could be, but it's most unlikely). As advised, you need to raise it with the landlord.0 -

Ignoring the legal side, have you checked that the key hasn't gone under a mat, or under a loose edge of carpet? Or been accidentally kicked under a table/sofa/into crack by a skirting board when you first came in after it had been put there and you weren't looking for it? Or mixed in with unopened post? A loose key could quite easily have got lost, or one in an envelope could have been mistaken for something else.
I'm sure you have but it's always worth checking again... It is amazing where things can get to. Do you have a nearby friend who can come and look with a fresh pair of eyes?0
