P60 change in tax code for pension?

  • HMRC do not provide financial advice and cannot suggest what he should take out of his pension.

I fear he will get in more of a mess if he contacts them without being able to provide estimates for each pension. Two may well be accurate but it is third he particularly needs to look at.

Surely he must have some idea of what income he is going to need/take over the next 12-13 months?

It is only an estimate remember, he doesn't have to stick to it but obviously there is a chance that he could owe tax, or be owed tax back, if it ends up being different.

But that is how PAYE works, you try and pay the correct amount during the year but it isn't always possible.
