Roman blinds used to mean something entirely different (more flouncy/swagged) back in the mid/late 80s! I was surprised to see the term, but, googling, they look like roller blinds to me
Slightly off topic, but I think you mean Austrian blinds. I've several books on curtain making/general upholstery stuff - bit of a fabric nerd, having studied fashion design years ago, lol - and afaik Roman blinds have never been flouncyBack in 1987 when we bought our first flat I made several sets of Austrian blinds - still have the photos, hideous pink and blue John Lewis fabric by the name of Bergerac, all swaggy and hideous!
