Has anyone else ordered an IHG rewards credit card and it is taking ages to arrive? (6 weeks +)
After calling IHG (Creation) multiple times they keep saying there is a backlog of applications but almost two months seems slightly excessive to me

that's not the experience i had. Ordered the Black/Premium rewards IHG 10 days ago, on a Friday. Card turned up 5 days later, PIN two after that.
Just checked and i did get an acceptance email shortly after applying, on the same day.0 -
Maybe IHG meant that there is a backlog of credit applications that are being manually reviewed. It does seem way too long though, even if they are reviewing the application...… After calling IHG (Creation) multiple times they keep saying there is a backlog of applications but almost two months seems slightly excessive to meI work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

Their customer service is pretty slow - it took them 10 days to process a balance transfer request on my IHG card.0

That's strange, mine was delivered within a week. I'd suggest giving them another call to speak with a different agent who might be more helpful.0
