IHG credit card delayed/not arriving?

Has anyone else ordered an IHG rewards credit card and it is taking ages to arrive? (6 weeks +)
After calling IHG (Creation) multiple times they keep saying there is a backlog of applications but almost two months seems slightly excessive to me

that's not the experience i had. Ordered the Black/Premium rewards IHG 10 days ago, on a Friday. Card turned up 5 days later, PIN two after that.

Just checked and i did get an acceptance email shortly after applying, on the same day.

Maybe IHG meant that there is a backlog of credit applications that are being manually reviewed. It does seem way too long though, even if they are reviewing the application...

Their customer service is pretty slow - it took them 10 days to process a balance transfer request on my IHG card.

That's strange, mine was delivered within a week. I'd suggest giving them another call to speak with a different agent who might be more helpful.
