British Gas Tariffs

So I have duel fuel with British Gas and in November 2018 moved to the Gas & Electricity: Energy Plus Protection Dec 2019 Tariff. But today I got a mail to say that my All Online Mar 2019 electricity tariffs end on 31st march 2019. So I rang British Gas as I thought that be being on a duel fuel tariff both fuels were on this one tariff but it seems that they do not have to be? I don't understand. They offered to move my electricity and back date it to the Dec 2019 tariff but could not confirm that I would not be paying a higher unit rate. I am confused!
