Looking for some advice...

In a nutshell I received a PCN after parking in Britannia Adelphi car park in Liverpool on 11/11/18. I put amount in the machine to cover my parking time. Only after receiving PCN noticed the ticket was showing £1 less than I thought I put in, not sure if my mistake or machines, ticket shows no expiry time just amount paid.

After reading the newbies section, I gather the details of the case don't really matter too much? And that I did the correct thing to appeal to Parking eye, what has happened now though is I have received a Final Notice through the post from PE. I must not have seen the email response from the appeal and the matter left my mind. Now I have received this "Final Notice" it looks as though I've missed the POPLA boat as 28 days have passed and I've got 14 days until further action. Next step? Prep a defence for court and wait it to get there? Or any other way around? Don't know whether to just pay it now.

If anyone replies, thanks in advanced.

    popla codes last 32 days

after that , its pay up or fight in court, like BEAVIS did

a landowner cancellations is your best option now, as it always was, which the NEWBIES thread tells you, so should have been tried straightaway

  • Yes sorry forgot to say, I went to the Adelphi to ask for cancellation as I was actually there for a remembrance sunday service for my Dad (he was in the Para Regiment) but they come back and said as I wasn't staying in the hotel they cannot cancel the fine

That is shameful. You were there for a Remembrance Day service!

Did you tell P/Eye that? And that you paid and their machine must have failed to return a coin?

Is your POPLA code no longer working (older than 33 days)?

Yeah... it was a great way to remember the day! They really wouldn't cancel it for me, so much so they asked me to stop contacting them regarding it.

I didn't put that I was there for a service in my appeal to PE to be honest I just used the standard template from NEWBIES and guidance. I did mention that a ticket had been purchased but it was showing the incorrect amount than thought paid. Was hard to point out without admitting it was me that was driving.

I believe the POPLA code will have expired now, I found the reply in my inbox to the appeal on 15 Jan.
My own fault for dropping the ball on this, so do you think prep for small claims when it inevitably goes down that route?

The Adelphi have never been helpful in supporting their customers when being harassed by PE.

I take it you've left/are going to leave something tasty on their social media interfaces - TripAdviser, FaceBook, Twitter etc?

See the NEWBIES thread about P/Eye LBCCCs, which is like another appeal stage.
