TripAdvisor third party agent Hotel Quickly bankrupt

Booked hotels through TripAdvisor agent, hotelquickly.com . I went to cancel hotel as still had 2 weeks to cancel and receive refund. Discovered already cancelled in December 2018 as they went bust but no refund. The hotel when I rang stated they still had booking and failed to mention it wasnt paid for or aware, which a second phone call confirmed they were, that the agent had went bust so i would have to pay inflated price again on checking in.
I'm a lucky one as discovered today and not in 2 weeks time. Google reviews confirm many arriving at hotels and asked to repay 2 or 3 times the price due to hotel quickly cancelling their paid bookings in December 2018. Please inform any customers who are still not aware to double check their hotels have their bookings and hotels have recieved the payment as it appears most have not but failing to pre warn customers.
Anyone who paid on credit card claim using Sec 75 if your booking is over 100 pounds.
So pleased I had lucky escape only because I found a better booking elsewhere and tried to cancel ahead, otherwise I would have arrived at a full hotel with potentially no reservation.
