Templates to claim PPI when you have no paperwork

Options
Hey, I’m going to try and claim PPI back but I don’t know if I’ve ever been sold it, all I have is my credit report - is there a template letter I can use to write to the lenders I’ve used to check if I’ve had PPI?

Thanks

You don't need (or want) a template.

Just ask them if you had PPI.
  • I have over 10 lenders and didn’t want to spend hours on the phone, I was hoping there was a letter I could send out. Thanks

You don't have to spend any time at all on the 'phone.

Most lenders have a designated area of their websites to check for PPI.

However, do bear in mind that there is unlikely to be any record of accounts long closed. You credit report will only detail current finance and anything from the last six years.
